About the author

Dr. Joe Giampalmi, a lifetime learner and teacher, has more than half a century classroom teaching experience from middle school to graduate school and consulting classroom experience from K to 12. He taught at Nether Providence Middle School (Wallingford, Pennsylvania), Sun Valley High School (Aston, Pennsylvania), and on the collegiate level at Neumann University, Immaculata University, Widener University, Delaware County Community College, and recently Rowan University for two decades.

His publications include four books, a dozen articles for national magazines, and a 34-year twice-monthly newspaper column titled “Conversations in Education.” He received numerous academic awards and was named to a number of area halls of fame.

He earned his B.A. and M.Ed. from Widener University, and Ed.D from Temple University. He writes from Florida’s Gulf Coast and Center City Philadelphia. He’s inspired by warm weather, whispering palms, and white-sand beaches.

Dedication

To Carole, my wife, academic partner, and pandemic pal who encouraged me daily and regularly reminded me to appreciate interim successes.
