In many instances, your readers want to understand lots of details—this is particularly true with law, government, medicine, science, engineering, business, sales, and finance—and it is not enough just to attach a lot of tables and graphs. While tables and charts help organize data, they are no excuse for not explaining in words the data and the relationships they support. Rather, provide evidence and explain what it means.
