When you’re first starting out, the ideas in this chapter might make you want to go back to the Strengthen phase (or maybe even the Focus phase). And I’ll tell you a secret, as long as you continue reading.

That’s perfectly okay.

See, that’s only going to happen the first two or three times you use the FAST System. And I want your writing to be as powerful as you can make it. So please do what you gotta do.

But the more you practice using the FAST System, the more these ideas (and others still to come) will be a part of you. You’ll understand the essence of the job at hand.

And when you do, you’ll find your own way to personally modify the FAST System for your own style and preference.

Using the FAST System the way it’s designed, however, means applying all these ideas last. It means going through the System instinctively, and only steering the ship at the very end.

That way, you let your ideas out.

And then you perfect them.

And in doing so, you reach lightning speed.
