And so... - The FAST system in the real world - The payoff

Writing FAST - Jeff Bollow 2012

And so...
The FAST system in the real world
The payoff

In the real world, you’ll encounter all sorts of roadblocks to your progress. People will be jealous, some will even claim you just can’t write as fast as I’m suggesting (at least not if you want to write well).

Every time you sit down to write, or to focus, distractions will leap in front of you.

You’ll even discover things about the process of writing that you just don’t like very much.

FAST will help you through all of that.

The whole point of the system is to break your writing down into small chunks, and then blast through those chunks as fast as you can.

Anticipate problems. Plan for complications. Make room for delays and the unexpected.

It, too, is all part of the process of writing.

And when you control it and send it where you want it to go, you’ll accomplish every goal you set.

Most people never even set a goal.

But you’ve got a whole system for reaching them.

And it’s about to get a whole lot easier.
