Meet the FAST system
The setup

In a nutshell, that’s the FAST System.

Different parts of FAST will be a revelation to different writers. Maybe the Focus section will be the eye-opener for you (it was for me!). It’s so much more than just “outlining.”

Or maybe the Apply section will be your true magic. Flying through your work (free to fix it later) is a glorious discovery.

Maybe the Strengthen section will be what kicks your project to life. The Stack Test and Strengthen Plan turn rewriting into a simple step-by-step process, after all.

Or it could be the Tweak section. There’s something dazzling about controlling your reader’s eyeballs.

But regardless of which section is your favorite, it’s not any one section that makes the system such a breakthrough. What makes it a breakthrough is how they work together as a whole. Taken as a whole, this system has true, raw, genuine power.

Each stage makes the other stages easier. The Focus phase makes the Strengthen phase a breeze. The Apply phase can be separated from the Tweak phase. And so on.

Taken as a whole, you’ve now got a systematic approach for turning any idea into a compelling read.
