And so... - Make your idea specific - Focus

And so...
Make your idea specific
Focus

The first two chapters of the Focus section have been about figuring out exactly what your idea is, and deciding on the best way to express it.

In the next chapter, we’re going to take that idea, and turn it into a detailed, step-by-step approach to your writing. You’re going to create your own, one-of-a-kind roadmap.

Your own personal formula, to help you blast through it.

The clearer your idea, the easier it will be to create your Focus Plan. So don’t skimp on these first two chapters just because the meat of this phase is in the next one.

Take the time to nail your idea.

I’ve made this mistake myself a thousand times. And I’ve even made it repeatedly while writing this book! And every time I make the mistake of rushing into the next phase, it slows me down and makes the work ten times harder than it needs to be.

If you really want to write ten times faster, capture your idea and make it specific first. It has a trickle-down effect.

A little effort here makes a world of difference later.

And once you’ve got your idea, and know (or think you know) how you’re going to present it, get ready for the ride of your life.
