Seven ways to edit yourself

If you are proud of the words you have written, you will want to present them in the best possible manner.

If you are turning in a hard copy, use 8½" x 11" white paper of good quality.

Use black ink only.

Whether a hard copy or an online submission, leave wide margins—at least an inch on all sides.

Half-inch indent for a new paragraph.

Double space.

Use a 12 pt. font, clean and easy to read.

Spell check, proofread, and make corrections. Remember, spell check will not always catch misused words.
