Correct the following passage.

Being as he kept breaking out in hives, Boris decided on going to a doctor, although since he had not been to a doctor in years, he had to look up Doctors in the Yellow Pages. On the way to Dr. Wrigley’s office, Boris drove slowly, looking intently at the road ahead, playing his radio at ear-shattering volume, and he scratched his ever-growing hives.

Dr. Wrigley took one look at him and began prescribing ointments and salves that would take care of the itching. Inspecting a particularly large and glowing hive on Boris’s rear end, his response was to laugh heartily.

“Boris, my dear man,” the doctor said, “you may not believe me, but when one breaks out in hives as stunning as these, one must take steps to relieve the stress in your life.”

“What stress?” asked Boris. “I have a job that is totally undemanding and I never get into disagreements with anyone.”

“You are one of those men who is leading a desperate life of non-engagement,” said Dr. Wrigley. “If I was you I’d read Sartre. And stop scratching.”

Boris got huffy. He shouted that he loved his life more than the doctor, and fled the office without remembering to pick up the proscriptions. The affect of Boris’s visit to the doctor was to unleash the animal in him, which had the surprising affect of curing his hives.
