Here’s another easy category. There are only four demonstratives: this, that, these, and those.

Quick tip 13.1

There are only four demonstratives in English: this, that, these, and those.

Notice again that, just like articles, each of these can occur directly before a noun: this table, these tables, that idea, those ideas. Demonstratives are words that ’’point’’ to some­thing or someone.
