Watch out for these 2 Silly Spelling Mistakes

1) Words with a silent 'h' — you don't say it, but you must write it: e.g. chemistry.

2) Words written with 'ph' and pronounced with an 'f' sound: e.g. graph or philosophy.

Get Writers’ Names and Literature Words Right Too

1) There's no excuse for spelling a writer's name wrongly — or the name of a book, come to that. It's the kind of mistake that makes you look as though you've got no idea what you're talking about.

2) Literature words like the ones on P. 23 and P. 39 have to be spelled right too.

If you spell them wrong the examiner will start wondering if you really know what they mean.
