JENNIFER HALLISSY is a mom and a pediatric occupational therapist who has a happy preoccupation with the art and science of writing development. Having earned her master’s degree in occupational therapy from New York University, she teaches courses for parents and professionals. Also a freelance writer, Jennifer contributes to national parenting magazines. She lives in Port Washington, New York, with her husband, Bruce, and two children, Jack (a Speller) and Gracie (a Scribbler).
