Ten tips for high-scoring research papers
The parts of ten

An interview provides you with an opportunity to support your evidence using a primary source. You can exceed your professor’s expectations by soliciting local experts who can contribute to your paper. Ask family and friends if they know experts who are available in the field of your topic. Email businesses, organizations, and institutions. Identify your university and the topic you’re researching for expertise; send two to three questions. Carefully focus your questions, as in the following examples: “What have you found successful or unsuccessful about employee incentives?” “What is the best advice you can offer for a successful career in management?”

Provide contact information. Request a phone call but accept an email. Ask for ten minutes of the expert’s time. An opportunity to talk or visit provides professional networking for eventual jobs and recommendations. Cultivate contacts and follow up with a thank you.
