The payoff

As I wrote this book, I kept having one major difficulty — sharing with you the same passion, understanding, and level of detail as I would with my screenwriting workshops.

I’ve lived with the FAST System for about four months now.

And I think it’s amazing.

But I’ve lived with screenwriting for about fifteen years.

So which do you think I’m better at teaching?

I’ve had to make this book somewhat generic.

See, in order for it to be useful for any kind of writing (even types of writing I have no interest in) I couldn’t go into detail about the one subject I’m most passionate about:

Movies.

I couldn’t use some of my favorite screenwriting examples. I couldn’t even include some of the things I most enjoy teaching!

Simply because it’s not appropriate to everyone.
