Before we depart, I want to close on this note.

I never considered myself a writer before. I’ve written some screenplays, some stories, and some articles — but all out of necessity. Writing was never my real focus.

So I don’t want you to think this book is full of examples of great writing. It’s decent, and it does the trick — but I know you can do better.

Heck, I know I can do better, now that I understand it!

It’s been a learning experience for me, and I hope for you, too. If nothing else, take this away from this book:

Put yourself out there, and see what happens.

Yes, you open yourself up to judgement and criticism.

But you also spark ideas.

How many ideas will this book spark? How many books will you write? How many screenplays? News stories? Magazine articles? TV shows? Letters? Dissertations? Business plans? Websites? Ads? ...

All of them, I hope.

I’ve enjoyed writing this.

It’s been painful and challenging. But I survived.

And because of that, I know you will, too.

That snickering woman from Chapter 2 might’ve had something right after all.

Apply the FAST System, and you’ll see what I mean.
