The ever-expanding digital landscape is rooted in the concept of multimodality. If you didn’t grow up with this constant flow of information and changing technology, the pace of it all can feel daunting. Even digital natives—individuals who have used technology from an early age—sometimes have a hard time keeping up. Whenever you feel awash in the sea of information overload, use the fundamentals of technical communication as your life raft. Just apply these classic ideas to new contexts and situations and you’re ready for a multimodal world.
